I think that Ponyboy was still thinking about Johnny because he was his best friend. Johnny and Ponyboy really cared about each other, even though they weren’t brothers. It really hurt Ponyboy and the rest of his gang when Johnny died because they were all really close.

I think that Ponyby was so upset that Jonny was dead because they had a bond after being the the church together for a week. Also it was one of his friends and anyone would be sad if one of their friends died.

What do you think about how the author took Johnny and Dally out of the story? I think that it was the wrong choice to both of them out. In my opinion the author should have taken just Johnny out because he was dying from the fire. Dally just killed him self because he liked Johnny as a best friend/brother.
