Would you have killed a Soc. that almost killed you friend and live with the guilt that you killed someone, but have to run away from cops, or take the chance that your friend almost died and not do anything?
I probably would’ve killed a Soc. because I would not want to loose a friend. Even though that I would have to run away from the cops, I would still save my friend by killing a Soc. Instead of running away, or running away for the rest of my life, I would definitely come back and say that it was self-defense like Johnny did.
Yes, I would probably would have killed the Soc if I was in Johnny position because if I was going to watch a friend die I wouldn’t let that happened without a fight just like Johnny did. After a while I could probably convince myself that it was self defense because after the drowned Ponyboy they would probably have killed Johnny to if he did not pull out a blade. I would probably not run away though because that makes you look guilty. The only thing I probably couldn’t live with is watching a friend die without being able to do anything about it.
