Ponyboy probably won't date Cherry because it may have just been luck that they met and it looks like Ponyboy isn't even thinking about her.
I think that Ponyboy will date Cherry but it will be very far in the book. he will date her because he likes her and they hang out a lot so he’s really grown on her.
